CAD modeller with knowledge of 3D printing
$8-15 USD / hour
3D modeller required for a project starting in August, ideally with 3D printing experience so CAD models can be built efficiently. An interest in period railways, vehicles and engineering would be a bonus.
These CAD models will be used to create 3D printed models to be made into moulds for casting. Experience with mould making would also be a bonus, but not required.
You will receive scale engineering drawings of the item to reproduce, with a full brief on how to build the parts and any allowances required. For example, one project could include several parts that will be required on future projects so we will eventually build a library of common parts.
You will be required to provide editable files (ideally SolidWorks or Fusion 360), STL files for printing and an exclusivity/reproduction agreement so that the model copyright and reproduction rights remains with me.
This is an ongoing but occasional project that could fit into an ordinary working schedule. Hourly rate negotiable between $10-15 depending on experience.
