NERC Holidays Insertion Directions I am creating a excel sheet for electricity pricing research. There are typical days and there are holidays for which the typical load (demand) shape gets distorted. As a preliminary step in this project, I need to identify all of the holidays that occurred from January 1, 2006 until present. The recognized holidays for the US electricity markets are called “NERC holidays,” which is the abbreviation for the North American Electric Reliability Corporation. The six recognized NERC holidays are New Year’s Day Memorial Day (last Monday in May) Independence Day (always July 4) Labor Day (first Monday in September) Thanksgiving Day (the fourth Thursday in November) Christmas Day (always December 25) Please also add three
