Bitcoin Client rewrite in Delphi

The official bitcoin client ([login to view URL]) is written in C++. I would like a an implementation of the bitcoin client written in Delphi XE. The Delphi client should use no closed source custom components and any required open source components must be compatible with an MIT licensed final product. At the end of the project, transactions sent from and received by client should be 100% compatible with and verifiable on the bitcoin testnet and the production network. The Delphi client should be feature equivalent with the C++ client excepting that the JSON web service does not need to be implemented.
