We are an application service provider for hotels with 3000+ customers. Now our international sales organization wants to sell web sites to our customers. TASK: You are required to design and implement a full working web site on one of our virtual servers. WHAT YOU GET: We provide a complete root access to a virtual server. This server contains a pre-installed and filled database with all necessary information (descriptions, images, hotel amenities etc. from our sample hotel) and a pre-installed booking engine. We will maintain this database automatically from our system. In fact you don't need to design a database or even a CMS for the hotel. All maintenance is done by our team members or by the hotelier directly within our system. But you should know how to administrate a Linux server on a root level and you need in-house skills at least on a basic level for SQL, XML, PHP or Perl. Please note that we shall not support you in technical questions! Based on the given information of our sample hotel and the pre-installed booking engine you are free to create a full-working web site. For this work you will be paid. FURTHER STEPS: Your design will be published on our web site and our sales consultants will sell your web site design to one of our hotel customers. From experience we know that the customer will have some small changes or requests that you should implement. This contact will give you the opportunity to win a new customer for a long-term relationship. You are free to offer additional services (i.e. domain registration, SEO or e-marketing) to the hotel and you may even move the complete installation to your server. When your first design is sold and our customers are happy with your service we will ask you to create new designs.
