Hi, I'm a structural engineer 10 years experinced. I can help you on this job. I think we can solve this with a IPE beam. I can use "Solidworks" for 3D modeling and finite element analysis. Hello, as to common sense that beam is required so hold wind loads and top window weight, as modern windows are usually designed to be supported at the bottom. I will also need to know existing walls structure - this may influence the beam shape. Regars, Alex
