Hi, Being a security professional, i am well aware about the techniques used by hackers to bring a website down. Also i have got my name listed in the Apple's Hall Of Fame as a security researcher and so writing algorithms and code for D-DOS detection is not a difficult task for me. Hi I have masters degree in Information Security. I have already experience of research work. With my understanding of your requirement you are trying to test performance of your tool based on real word traffic simulating Distributed Denial of Service (DDOS) attack. I can make a python script that will send generated traffic of following type of packets to your testing server 1. Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) flood 2. SYN flood 3. Teardrop attack 4. Application-level floods 5. Reflected / spoofed attack I am defining two milestones. In first milestone I will understand your detection mechanism and detailed DDOS attack types.
