I am looking for someone to write high quality firmware for the FRDM-K64F device ([login to view URL]).
The firmware should do the following:
1. connect the device to the Azure IOT Hub that I am hosting ([login to view URL]).
The device should connect with the AMQP library that is available ([login to view URL] )
2. buffer on-board accelerometer data in FIFO. The data will be all 3 axis (only accelerometer, not gyroscope)
3. when accelerometer data exceeds a pre-determined threshold level (to be determined), the device will send all accelerometer data to the IOT Hub at 50Hz or faster for a pre-determined period of time. The message will also contain timestamp and device Id. It is important to keep message small to reduce bandwidth.
4. option to remove pre-determined threshold and constantly send all accelerometer data to the IOT hub at 50Hz or faster.
I have recently used the FRDM-K64F board to kick start a project for K22 processor. Initially I have looked at the mbed but at the time there was no support for k22 processor and instead I used the KDS for that project.
from past experience on GPS tracking, I used a 16G accelerometer with two levels to detect movement and impact. The axis data was continuously stored for the last 60 seconds and on impact detection, the 60 seconds after impact were also collected and a total of 120 data points were sent to the head end system. Internally the accelerometer was programmed to report the highest reading within each second as the data points were examined at a much granular rate of few milliseconds. The threshold for impact was configurable since different vehicles needed different setting.
I will be doing this project on my spare time otherwise it should not take 30 days.
Questions:
1. how long should the data be buffered?
2. What the source of time for the device?
3. Can the device be configured remotely i.e. change the threshold?
4. Any support for firmware download?
