Create a standalone Mac application (using py2app) from a Django application

Hi, We have an app written in Python/Django which we are deploying locally. For this sake we have create a EXE file (using pyInstaller) to run on Windows. Now, we are looking for some help to create a similar standalone application to be run on MacOs. What exactly is required? - We would like to get a working standalone Mac application compiled from our Python/Django code . The compilation should presumably by done using py2app, but there are also other tools available (like pyInstaller), - Additionally, we need to obtain the setup file used to generate this Mac app such that we can recreate this process in the future, - Some description how you did it would be great too :) What is already available? - Our working project is stored in Bitbucket, you can pull from the repo and get is up and running using the attached readme file. - In the repo you will also find a description and the actual file used to obtain the EXE for Windows (that can give you a hint how to achieve a similar thing for Mac) Some technical details: - The project is written in Django (a Python web framework) and you need to be familiar with it to get this job done. We are using sqlite3 as a database, - Certainly we are using external Django apps - those need to be linked to the Mac app in the compliation process as well to make the app working, - The Django app uses also Angular.js with Django Rest Framework - would be good if you understand this part as well to know which libraries/apps to link as well. - We use Python CherryPy server to serve the files locally on deployment machines. What is required from you to be successful in this taks? - Python and Django knowledge, - CherryPy server - would be good to know the basics, - py2app or pyInstaller knowledge or commitment to learn, - would be good if you understand Angular.js and Django Rest framework (but only to the extent to know how to link the neccessary files) - you need to know how to use GIT, virtualenv, - you need to be familiar with MacOs, have a Mac yourself :) About me: - I'm willing to help so will be there to assist if you have some questions :) - I did the EXE version with pyInstaller so I'm likely to be able to help with similar questions, - I'm easy to talk to :) and structured and organized at the same time, Anything else? - this process may require a lot of trying and failing to make sure you include all the needed libraries if you don't know py2app yet, - please indicate if you had already some expierence with py2app or pyInstaller :)
