I have a hardware product using Raspberry Pi 4 as its controller (it runs a python program using Qt as the graphycal interface), and despite having a soft power down button on screen, some users simply suddenly remove power from the system, causing one of three things: microSD corruption, python files to corrupt or USB stick corruption (I save some data to a USB stick). I already put the microSD in read-only mode. I need someone to solve such file/media corruptions.

there are two options. 1. provide a small battery power back circuit. on power removal detect power loss and save the files in SDcard and do a shutdown. 2. use database to save the files. So the last write only will be lost while the power is turned off abruptly.

Hi, It would be hard to protect the SD card from corruption, in my experience the best solution is choosing the best SD card for the job and do power off properly from software. since removing power with immediately turn raspberry off, we need to have work around. in the laptop and PC, the usually have super capacitor to prevent such corruption. let's discuss further detail if you are interested

Good afternoon, My name is Karel and I'm from the Netherlands. My mainly job is reverse engineer to recover files from the devices. Maybe I can help you with your problem. If I understand it correctly, you have an Raspberry Pi with an SD card and an USB stick connected to it? Or both devices still readable? Or doesn't it regonize any filesystem when you put it in your PC?
