As part of a summer internship, your group are joining a growing start-up company. The start-up is hoping to expand its technical team and is looking for more junior developers. Your manager wants you and your peers to be involved in the interview process for a new hire. Your group are asked to describe a coding interview question in Python that tests a candidate’s knowledge and skill in both basic data structures and algorithms. The interview question must relate to a problem on the Cartesian coordinate system (2-D plane), otherwise, the question will be considered invalid. The input should include a series of float values for points or lines such as x, and y coordinates or details for linear equations with variables. With the question, your group also need to develop/provide multiple sample solutions with a complexity analysis of the problem including Python codes and test cases/results. Since the interview only allocates 45 minutes for this coding exercise. Hence, the question should not be too complicated. The proposed exercise description should be concise and clear. So, your team need to deliver the following: 1. A short and clear description of the problem and a set of sample inputs to test the correctness and complexity of a solution. 2. Different Python code solutions from each member of your group. Each solution needs to be individual and can use Python built-in libraries and does NOT need to be longer than 100 lines of code. 3. An algorithm analysis of your different solutions, including a plotting diagram to compare the time complexity of the different solutions with different inputs. The list of inputs/outputs was used for the algorithm analysis/plot. 4. A reflection of the team collaboration and contribution of the mark.
