Structure-Borne Ultrasound Transducer

Objective: To have a sensor of ultrasound emmited from mechanical surfaces (structure-borne ultrasound, attachable to them magnetically or mechanically) in the order of 25 to 30 kHz (adjustable), and transduce the ultrasound to an audible sound output and a 0-10VDC signal proportional to de dB emmited. The final product will be a prototype for mass production, and we require you to estimate the final cost for mass production for each item, in order to be awarded with the project. Characteristics: -The equipment will be used in the industries and has to be able to be IP66 corrossion proof of NEMA4X. -It has to have EMI/RFI Shielding. -Power supply 24 VDC (Desirable 9-30VDC) -Operation temperature (-10 to 50°C Desirable) -It has to have a water proof connector -A baseline threshold will be set within a dynamic range of 120 decibels. -Once set the sensor will monitor changes of ultrasonic amplitude within a range of 40 decibels, that will be transduced to 0-10VDC. -Desirable to have a SSR output to alarm within 4 dB deviation, once set point is stablished (hysteresis). -Final product for mass production should cost less than 60 USD (Desirable).
