Communicate with Siemens MP277 mobile panel to Anybus X-Gateway

I have set up a Siemens mp277 mobile panel to communicate through profibus with an Anybus X-Gateway which sends profinet IO to my Siemens Plc.
The connection on the hmi is a S5 Dp connection. and the Anybus X-Gateway communicates with it, however the tags I am writing to from the hmi are not reflecting on the X-Gateway.
Need someones help with this one. Please don't waste my time if you have not worked with this before.
