Purpose and Scope:
I am looking to create a web application that will centralize school fee collections, classroom supply purchases, and school-affiliated booster club donations, and announcements.
Currently, teachers, booster clubs, and schools often have multiple platforms they are using to communicate needs, and parents are forced to download multiple apps, monitor social media, and "relearn" how to submit information or funds to stay involved in their kid's education and extracurriculars. This app aims to solve this problem by offering a centralized location for parents to save a payment method and select notification preferences. Schools, teachers, and booster clubs can then post their needs, and parents can add what they need to a cart, and donate/purchase/pay the items relating to them. This app will take care of delivering the funds to the appropriate organization, as well as track progress on payment plans.
Target Audience:
Parents - Benefits from being able to set up payment plans, schedule payments in advance, subscribe to certain schools, teachers, boosters for notifications when new items are added.
Schools - for lunch bills, testing fees, sports season tickets, etc
Teachers - field trip fees, beginning of year supplies lists, classroom wish-list donation opportunities
Booster Clubs - donations and membership fees
Functional Requirements:
Must allow for School, Teacher, Parent, and Booster Roles
Each role will have a dashboard that will show overview - number of active items, amount to goal, add/edit payment and bank information, and reporting
Would prefer responsive design for different devices (desktop, tablet, mobile).
Technical Specifications:
Full stack development
Will require integration with an existing payment processor such as Stripe, Melio, Quickbooks, etc as I do not want the app to store financial information.
Low code/no-code options are acceptable if all features can be achieved.
