In beta development of a streaming audio app for iOS and Android. Our app has been in 8-9 months of development and most of the structure has been built out for our stack. We just need to fill in some emergency gaps as I have been the sole developer of this project thus far. Primarily, I need help implementing open source software on an Ubuntu or Debian EC2 instance for our live streaming. The software we are installing is Airtime Server by Soundfabric for the audio live streaming features of our app. Airtime also us to do scheduled and live audio broadcasting. Airtime Server uses the following web technologies: - LiquidSoap (An OCAML audio framework) - PHP for Airtime Server - Python (For diagnostic) - Shoutcast / IceCast (Outputs to M3U stream) And more... Not a requirement to be fluid in all these but It will be helpful to know at least one of the technologies above and how to manage Linux servers. We have tested the software out and used it with our app but need help getting it going again as we only have 1 developer focused on the front-end. It took us between 2-6 hours the first time so for someone who's done this before we think it could take about 2-4 hours tops. What we require: - Install Airtime Server software on Amazon EC2 Instance (1-4 hours install) - We want to change the front-end design of the Airtime Server software on our own. So we need a way to run a copy of the software in either Vagrant or Docker for running on local machines. Info about our app: - Our app is built in Ionic Framework ([login to view URL]) - Ionic uses JS and AngularJS - The Ionic app is already built out and can play on-demand audio served from Cloudfront. We just need that extra help in getting M3U playing until Airtime is going. - The Ionic app's models are all served up via a Wordpress site that has an open REST API for serving up content details and episodes. - It's not required you know AngularJS or Ionic but could help you visualize the app better if you can see it running.

I’m an experienced Linux system administrator with professional experience working with Linux servers in hosting data centres. I’ve used Python on occasion for a variety of tasks, so I’m happy to work with it. I have some experience with Wordpress and Node.js which may be helpful in terms of interfacing with your app. Presumably, you’ll need to have the Amazon EC2 instance setup from scratch, so I’ll need temporary/delegated access to your Amazon AWS account in order to do so. If you accept my bid, we can work out the details for doing so and I will undertake to destroy any AWS credentials you give me after the job is completed to your satisfaction and I have received payment. I would use Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) for the server. There is a known issue with correctly setting up PostgreSQL UTF-8 encoding in order, which would cause the Airtime Server installation to fail. I would deal with that before installing LiquidSoap and Airtime Server. After the install, I would check that the Airtime Server is accessible via a web browser and deal with any web server/firewall configuration issues that would stop it from being accessible. Unless instructed, otherwise I would set up HTTP authentication using the web server to ensure that only authenticated personnel could access the Airtime UI, but test that streaming is still freely accessible. I would duplicate this with Vagrant. Should be able to turn this around in 2 to 3 days. Any questions?
