I am looking to design an investment portal but need the following tools to be intergrated into my pages coding. Data Retrieval: Either from Custom Data Feeds in XML or plain ASCII text format stored in mySQL or Flat Files. Or by scraping Yahoo Stock data every 5 minutes. Site Requirements: Stock Quote Search ??" Input individual ticker will output a page template with High Low and Current price (price blue or red depending on up or down), Volume of Shares traded, % Change, up or down arrow (red or blue). Similar to yahoo quote [url removed, login to view] Indices Price Table ??" A small box output with worldwide market prices in it (FTSE 100,Dow Jones,Dax,Cac,Nasdaq etc) Indices Components Table - when clicked on Index in Box ??" A table of all the shares which make up a Index with their prices in a similar fashion to this link [url removed, login to view] Watch List ??" A page which a user can log in and select up to say 50 shares which they like to keep an eye on, so every time they log in the same 50 shares are there on display for them. Similar to the table above but user customisable. Basic Chart Feature ??" Maybe until development of our own charts have the abilty to click a “view chart?? button next to the quotes and display yahoo basic chart? News display ??" Which I can set to retrieve as many rss headlines and display them in desired places on site by me placing the code in specific places. The script needs to be able to allow me to display headlines relevant to a pages theme e.g on a page about savings accounts display news from banks etc…. All of the above needs to be able to be webmaster friendly so I can change the ways the site displays this information i.e cutting and pasting php include code within my own page templates.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables):
a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
I also see this project being an ongoing project with many add ons and extras to come...so if a bidder is reasonable and well priced it could be a long relationship.

linux web server...Has quite tight security...so for parsing/data scraping a bit contact with my server host may be required, but he is fast to respond and helpful.
