We are using vtiger's support ticketing system to attend to clients photocopiers.
The project is,
Install vtiger latest version on my vps
.. add custom fields and labels to vTiger CRM, create a very light HTML page so that the techs with their blackberry devices can log into the ticket itself and change status, add comments, or email its PDF.
Each of our clients has N number of photocopiers from us, we document the serial number for each.
A receptionist takes calls and opens tickets for the incoming support requests. She needs to link the ticket to the particular Serial number of the device that the caller is talking about.
vTiger lets you link an account and a product, we need to add a field so it pops up the serial numbers of the devices that are owned for that account/customer. (this way the support tech on site, knows exactly which copier to service)
Then vtiger sends the ticket to the tech via email, but this email should have a URL to a light html page to change status, close it or email the pdf.
(Some clients require a signed/printed version of their support ticket, thats why we need the PDF version of the ticket template, emailed .) Most dont.
This would be just an email field that would trigger vtigers pdf maker and email.
I like a developer that has good communications, good sense of humor and knows vtiger. Canned, copy/paste responses will be ignored immediately .
I can provide a VPS for testing, or you can provide your own, then move the CRM to mine.
