47433 Mod Rewrite in PHPNuke

I have a website made in phpnuke that has a custom mod rewrite done by a programmer but a problem came up (I can't contact this programmer to fix it). If you are familiar with phpnuke: if an "article" has the same title as another "article" and you try to access the second one, it shows the content of the first one with the url of the second. The mod rewrite done shows the titles in the url instead of the ids. I was thinking that maybe adding the id number in the url would solve the problem in case other methods can't be arranged.
