convert working php googleapi search code into js for use on client side

I have a php file that successfully retrieves data from the Google search engine via [login to view URL] and returns the data into a basic array (which is then used for further processing) I want to move this functionality to the client side. The pseudo code for this project looks like this: - html button ("process") clicked - get the values in input boxes "city" and "profession" - make a call to [login to view URL] with the search parameters included - process the returned result and produce an array - make an ajax call to the server php file "[login to view URL]", sending the array in the data (FYI, the php file will output the result of its processing back into a table) Ensure that error conditions are caught: - google API search fails (alert the text of the error from Google) - if a search produces zero results, don't perform any further searches - make sure the "city" and "profession" boxes are not empty (alert the user if they are) Refer to the attached file for my current php code. I need someone who knows how to work with Google's custom search engine API . (v2.0 preferably) I can give you an ftp folder on my server if you wish, or provide your own.
