e-Assessment Flash Project

Hello, We are currently in need of a designer/developer to help complete a web project. The project is an e-Learning tool. It enables users to build customisable online assessments and surveys and make them available over the Internet. We currently have a requirement for a creative Flash designer to produce interestring assessment templates. It would also be necessary to have Flash development and ActionScript programming and skills to help develop the Flash engine to deliver the assessments. ## Deliverables **PROPOSAL** (work to be done) The work required can be divided into two parts. a) _Flash Assessment Engine_ The points below list the Flash engine features. All of the following information will be read into the Flash engine as XML data: 1) All questions are of multiple choice type with between two and eight options. There is a plan to introduce multiple simple text input questions in the near future. 2) Questions can be displayed in a random order. 3) Multiple choice options can be displayed in a random order. 4) There are three variants of multiple choice questions ??" single select, multiple select, and drop down list select. Multiple select are indicated by having more then one correct answer. Drop down type questions normally used for gap fill. Drop down select are shown by having the string in the question to indicate where the drop down list should be placed. 5) Questions and Sections can have an associated image as part of the question. 6) Users have the option of making assessments forward only and forward and backwards through the assessment with the use of previous and next buttons. 7) Users have the option of showing the section instructions on either the first page of the section or on every page of the section. 8) Users have the option of showing page numbering and multiple choice option lettering. 9) There can be a set time allowed for the candidate to take the assessment. 10) Users have an option of showing an assessment review after the assessment is complete. The assessment review shows the score and lists the questions and given answers showing which are correct and incorret. The Flash movie needs to send the answers back to the server for storage onto our database. This communication needs to be done as soon as the question is answered. This can be easily done by appending the data to the URL as a query string, as it is only a very small amount of data to be transferred. The processing and data storage will be done on the server. b) _Template Design_ A number of templates are required, to begin with should be approximately twelve Flash templates. Covering areas such as fun and games, commercial, educational etc. and, 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform 4.0+ versions of Internet Explorer, Netscape and Firefox
