Project 1: A float based sensor that sits inside a standard 6 pint bottle of milk that will trigger an automated notification to an app/website when the milk gets below a certain level. Either a wifi connection or bluetooth, but using food-safe components. The device will need to sit inside the bottle and will need to be able to sit inside a fridge without damage. The only action it needs is a ping to say "below 1/3 of the contents remain", so operating in a similar way to a float in a water tank that triggers the pump to refill the tank when the level of the water is below x. Project 2: A sensor that will perform the same function as above but within an egg box. So, a carboard box of 12 eggs, each compartment with a sensor than detects when the egg is removed. This will need two actions, one that detects when the egg is removed and a second, that executes 30 seconds later, as a confirmation. If the egg is still removed, the trigger to say "11 eggs remaining" is fired. The project needs to be small enough to be built into the egg box and powered by battery (smaller the better). I need someone to develop this as a proof of concept with the hardware and basic code (I can adapt the code at a later date). This is not just a sketch project. The initial PoCs can be attached to a breadboard, but will need to be able to scale down to become embedded in the packaging.
