IT Network Manager for a Dual-Location Home Setup

We are looking for an experienced IT professional to manage the IT setup for a private residence with two locations, one in the US and the other in Greece. The setup involves a complex network of TP-link routers, switches, and access points, a VPN connection, Ubuntu hosts, Raspberry Pi 4 for sprinkler automation, security cameras, and UPS systems. Key Responsibilities: • Provide comprehensive IT support and maintenance, ensuring optimal performance at all times. • Configure and manage the VPN between the two locations to ensure secure and seamless connectivity. • Setup and manage multiple VLANs (admin, guest, IoT) across the network. • Monitor and troubleshoot any issues with the TP-link devices, Ubuntu hosts, Raspberry Pi 4 systems, and UPS systems. • Implement robust security measures across all systems, with an emphasis on protecting the network and data. • Regularly update all devices and systems to ensure they are secure and up-to-date. • Offer quick and effective solutions for any IT issues that may arise. Required Skills and Experience: • Proven experience in managing complex IT networks. • Strong knowledge of TP-link devices, VPNs, Ubuntu-based systems, Raspberry Pi 4, and UPS management. • Demonstrated experience in setting up and managing multiple VLANs. • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex IT issues in simple terms. • Deep understanding of IT security practices and data protection. Additional Information: This is a remote position. Physical site access is very limited, so remote administration is a must.
