CORE GAME MECHANICS
Create a Top Trumps game with the following rules:
● Create one main Deck of Cards, for example 30
● Each card should have a name and an attribute
( Example: Name: Harry Potter, spellPower: 99)
● The Deck should be shuffled, and split into 2 players ( 15 cards each )
● To play the game each player takes a card from the top of their deck
● Then compare the attributes of each Card
● The player who wins gets both cards, and place them at the bottom of their deck
● If there is a draw, both cards will be placed on a “Limbo” pile, and the next winner will
take them
● The game will end when one of the Players, will run out of cards
GAME FEATURES
● Single Player game with 3 difficulty levels (Easy, Medium, Hard)
● Online Multiplayer game (Max. 2 players)
● Ability to select a pack to play before the game starts

SINGLE PLAYER
● The player will select a card pack and difficulty to play before starting the game
● The AI will have names (Easy = “Robert”, etc..). Changeable from the admin panel (CAP)
● The player will start first during Hard difficulty. The AI will start first during Easy and
Normal difficulty.
● The AI will take a turn every 5 seconds. CAP
● A sound effect will play when a Human card is won, drawn or lost. CAP
● A sound effect will play when an AI card is won, drawn or lost. CAP
● Separate “game won”, “game drawn”, “game lost” sound effects. CAP
● Upon a game won event, the player receives a message and awarded a Win for their
single player record
● Upon a game lost event, the player receives a message and awarded a Loss for their
single player record
● Upon a game drawn event, the player receives a message and awarded a Draw for their
single player record
● The game then asks the player to play again or exit to the main menu
ONLINE MULTIPLAYER
● The player will enter a room with a chat window
● The player will select their pack preference
● Once a pack has been agreed by both players, a button is clicked to “Ready” both sides
● A 3 second countdown will begin, and the game will begin (Example screenshots below)
Core game mechanics begins (sound effects)
● If one player exits the game, the player is awarded a Loss for their multiplayer record
● If both players exit the game, both players are awarded a Loss for their multiplayer
records
● If one player exits the game during gameplay, the AI comes into play on Normal difficulty
● Upon a game won event, the player receives a message and awarded a Win for their
multiplayer record
● Upon a game lost event, the player receives a message and awarded a Loss for their
multiplayer record
● Upon a game drawn event, the player receives a message and awarded a Draw for their
multiplayer record
● Players then exit back to multiplayer room
