We have developed a web-based chat application and we want to have this service available on Android and iOS devices. We want everything to be done through our web pages, but we need from the application to get user’s location and most importantly to have push notifications. When the user opens the application, an initial welcome/splash screen with our logo will be presented for 1-2 seconds. Then a login page (email/password) with “remember me/auto login” function. If the user has the location service enabled, together with the details, his position should also be send to our servers. When the user logins successfully, we want a link of a web page to be loaded, in an iframed internal browser full screen window. So all the functions of our service will be available from our web page. What’s important is the user to get notified for new chat requests. So by using the push notifications available via the Google Cloud Messaging (GCM) service (Android), or Apple's Push Notification Service (iOS), the application should notify the user and by responding to notification to get him to an iframed browser link to do the chat.
