Hello, i'm an engineer in Statistics and applied economics, i've already worked with Artificial neural network using Matlab and the R programming languages using the Backpropagation algorithms. In fact, i've predicted many longitudinal and cross section DATAs: --Predcition of the fiduciary demand over time of the Central Bank of Morocco --Prediction of the EUR/USD history daily basis --Prediction of the Retention's probabilities of several universities in USA i've already the R script available that i can share with you and also the papers and reports written by me. For the others results that you need, i propose building a regression modeling that consist on testing the effect on some variables on the Lynx population and its evolution, or times series model (SARIMA, ARIMA...) to explain the actual observations function of the past ones. We can discuss details further and send the script in R and the reports

Hi, I would like to work in this problem. I am currently working towards a PhD in Machine Learning and have experience in problems of this type. Still, it would be useful to discuss your issue a little more. Maybe there are some alternative approach that might fit you. For instance, instead of using ensembles, it is common to use dropout in NN. It is a newer/faster alternative to ensembles of NN. In addition, given that you are trying to predict values over time, it s likely that a recurrent neural network might be better. As I said, if you could send me a little more information on the kind of output you are looking for, I can provide you with a good solution. Let me know what you think or if you have any questions.
