Ideas and testing of ideas to make your work get done shall NOT be provided for free as a demo on any request. Giving a demo on a new kind of development requires it to be developed first. This costs time and resources. These need to be paid for by the customer who wants the proof of concept for new techniques and technologies or software to be developed to deliver their requirements. If new development or new techniques is not required then the details should clearly state what task needs to be done and what is being offered as a compensation for the task. This is because I regularly do work that has never been done before to the most part. Only tasks which are to be paid for shall be done. This includes any systems analysis and checking of methods which could work theoretically. I have experience so the rate should be high for tasks which can be done faster. So to simplify the payments, it shall be task based. If you know what you need and know the technology available then you shall be able to clarify faster.
