I require a software developer experienced with Websockets, Node, Javascript and OpenAuth2.0 to develop a simple front end for a third party websockets API. The API publishes real-time stock exchange data. This development will be the basis of a single page application that sends, receives and displays data from the third party server. There are only 2 users. It will run individually on local Windows machines. UI design is not important. The priorities for development are; - getting the secure authentication right, - efficient, best practice code for API use - clear, modular and laymen commented code. The app needs to have the following four key features; - browser-editable live data table (watch-list that can add and remove stocks) - time series price chart with live data updates - live depth data and course of sales data - current orders table capable of sending order requests (new, amend, cancel) Additionally, the app needs to stay logged for long periods of time (ping frames, OAuth re-authentications). API documentation and more detailed specifications can be provided in due course. The intention is for you (the skillful web developer) to build a simple and secure API interface with clear modular code so that I (the key user with very basic JS, CSS, HTML skills) can build on it and design and customise a UI to suit my changing needs. Experience with the following would be a bonus - Client-OAuth2 - D3.js, Google Charts, Amcharts The budget is $1000 AUD. 4x milestones payments at completion of each key feature. I have vast experience with HTML5 and as most APIs response in JSON format, using the chart libraries you mentioned is straightforward. I have also had experiences with OAuth, there are two types of tokens, the short and long lived ones but it depends on whether the OAuth server implementation supports it. I have not used websockets but I do have experience programming sockets on other platforms so it won't be difficult, although I wonder why sockets , is it because the API you want to use will be pushing info and they do not want developers to poll their servers.
