I want a simple script...

I currently use a photoshop action to convert an image to various colour spaces, resize and export to 4 folders.

The folder location is hardcoded.

I want a script to reproduce the action (which I'll supply), but instead of writing to eg

E:\output\upload\SRGB

E:\output\\upload\CMYK etc

I want the script to analyse the filename, find the folder in a specific location that shares part of the filename and create folders within that folder and write the files there. The script must only do this once per batch - as each batch will go to the same location. It should analyse the 1st file to get the location.

eg filename: [login to view URL]

would need to search within "properties" folder for a folder called westst4

within that folder create folders

upload

jpeg full ARGB

Upload contains 2 subfolders: SRGB and CMYK

jpeg full ARGB contains 1 subfolder: smaller for video

I'll supply the action

I dont want scriptlistener code, I dont mind if the action gets used as part of the final script.

I want the script annotated a little so I can change folder locations later on.

THe script must be able to handle a range of input filenames

eg:

lowerbielsdownrd1225_1131

boggycreekrdlot2_1010831

17gatenbyst16_0450

the names always have an underscore (it an everything to the right can be ignored)

they sometimes start with numbers which can also be ignored
