We have a large site that we are currently in the process of redesigning. We've started redesigning with a fluid grid (see [login to view URL]), but we need help with someone who is comfortable with both CSS, javascript and HTML.
We have new ideas for certain pages and want our site to use less css code, be css compliant, and be responsive (to other browsers and devices).
To be successful for this project you must be:
familiar with responsive design
familiar with css differences between IE 7-9, Firefox, Safari, and Chrome.
familiar with html editing, jquery and javascript.
be very competent changing code in a php framework (MVC) - in our case, cakephp.
familiar with site speed (e.g. using sprite images) and minimizing css coding clutter.
Your role will be to help redesign the site based on screenshots and wireframes, to use the grid, to edit some parts of .ctp files and javascript. Our old design has a 220kb css file with over 2,000 lines of code. We want the new css file to be approx 50kb.
There will only be 10-15 templates you'll need to create css code. We're after a modern and consistent design throughout the site, with minimal uses of images.
Please show us examples of any previous work you've done, including responsive design. Please include your hourly rate in the quote.
Thanks.
