I am using a simple excel file with a vba macro to scan trading opportunities that are triggerd by parameters I have given the macro. I would like this macro and setup to be rewriten in either C# or Java, to speed up the processes, since excel is reaching its limits with 1200 bonds at the moment. I would like to have around 3000-5000 bonds that are scaned. I would like a programmer that has experiance in programming for the finance sector, since there are alot of simple but very specific details that come with this project.

Looks like you need a multithreaded application. It would be best if it is written in C# with C++ managed on the side if necessary. Otherwise it looks like something I could do within a reasonable time frame. Do you have OLE or DDE sources for the data ? I have behind 2 years trading systems design experience and I am a PhD in Computer Science and High Performance Computing. Best of luck in making the right choice for the job :)
