iPad app to communicate with Magento

I'm looking to build a custom ipad app that will communicate with Magento. Probably using the SOAP API to keep it simple. I know that there is the standard iPad app available directly from Magento, but it doesn't have the ability to customize it enough for my requirements. The app will need to do all of the basis, display product, categories, add to cart etc. I am not documenting the full requirements just yet, I want to start talking to freelancers first to find the right provider and discuss requirements further. For example, I'd quite the ability for the iPad to download all product images and keep them locally for faster loading times. All I need for the moment is a ball park figure. This app will not be availble for general download, it will be used in store only. Code must be fully documented, and you will sign over the rights to the code at the end of the project. Thanks
