Modify gantt chart plugin to expand column widths

Take the following plugin: [login to view URL] and perform the following: 1) increase the width of the columns only so that the data and alignment shows up correctly in the whole chart. 2) Must work for all units of time: hour, day, week, etc. 3) Must create short document as to how this is done so that I can make the necessary changes myself to expand the width of the columns myself. The requirement is so that I can read a short title in for example a one hour meeting and not have to rely on the hover function.
