Anna paced about in front of the elevator lobby on the fourth floor in the Post Modern Library (PML) . She pressed all buttons that pointed down, including one with a prominent 'out of order' sign. She definitely needed a rest after a hectic study day behind the gloomy bookshelves. Time passes slowly for those who wait. She was in a space between the elevators and a wide vent in the floor, which could as well offer you a quick route to the second floor if you didn't mind suicide. She considered that and shuddered at the thought of death. She shrugged it off. Then there was a beep from the elevator door right before her. The out-of-order door, and a robotic female voice announced that the lift was headed downwards. It was a relief to realize she didn't have to walk to the next door, poor lazy thing. But, relief only lasted a split second. The door slid open. She almost stumbled into the lift when she saw it. Blood spluttered across the floor, and a dead body slumped in the corner of the small box. She shrieked. A scream cut through the still air of the PML, and a lady's body was caught on CCTV falling through the vent from the fourth floor through to second floor. Instant panic gripped the readers and a massive stampede ensued. Within a minute the air was laden with the urgency of fire alarms and wailing ambulances. Events proceeding that led to what was the beginning of months of investigations and uncertainty that was the PML Dilemma. (I have a whole hive, full. Hit me up)
