We are a Gurgaon, India based Interior Design company. We are looking to Improve and connect (cloud based collaboration) our existing Excel sheets across following functions:
- Project planning and tracking (with interconnected tasks)
- To Do Lists management (assign/re-assign tasks, update notes, etc)
- Budget and Spend tracking (multiple sheets across Client and Vendor side)
- Custom and Canned Reports around above functions (management, client, vendor reports)
We are on Microsoft 365 platform with our Excel files shared on Shareportal.
The need is to ensure that:
- no one can delete these files,
- do data entry only in columns / rows based on permissions
- add / delete column & rows based on permissions
- auto generation of date and time against data entry
- canned / custom reports.
SKILLS REQUIRED
Advanced Formulas & Tools: such as - nested IF statements, INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, array formulas, Pivot Tables, Power Query (Get & Transform), data validation, etc.
Visual Basic for Applications (VBA): Strong knowledge of VBA programming language to automate tasks, develop custom macros, and build interactive user interfaces. This includes creating custom functions, loops, conditions, and handling events, implement error handling techniques, and debug VBA code using breakpoints, watch windows, and error handling routines.
Excel Add-ins: Familiarity with creating and utilizing Excel add-ins to extend Excel's functionality, such as building custom functions, integrating external data sources, or creating specialized tools.
Data Visualization: Proficiency in creating visually appealing and interactive charts, graphs, dashboards, and reports using Excel's charting capabilities, sparklines, conditional formatting, and advanced formatting options.
Efficiency and Optimization: Skill in optimizing Excel workbooks for improved performance, reducing calculation time, minimizing file size, utilizing named ranges, and implementing efficient formulas.
Collaboration and Data Sharing: Understanding of Excel's collaboration features, such as sharing workbooks, tracking changes, protecting sheets and workbooks, and using Excel in a multi-user environment.
Given the level of knowledge transfer & interaction required with me (and team), ideally I would want a person to come and work with me at our office in Gurgaon for say 2 months Full time, and once everything is setup and tested, support us remotely, if / when needed.
