Hello, I would like to be considered for your project. we are a two electrical/electronics engineers working as a team. Our expertise are in circuit and PCB design and firmware development. We have used PIC32 and PIC18 series micro controllers extensively, we can also develop for ARM Cortex Mx, Atmel and other micro controllers. For your project I have searched some devices which has 2.4GHz transceiver along with a microcontroller, which I think will be better than using separate controller and transceiver chips. Atmel offers ATmega256RFR2 which has an 8-bit controller, but it has no USB port. Silicon Labs Ember® EM358x series is also suitable, it has 32-bit Cortex M3, it also has USB port which makes it most suitable for the Receiver. Waiting to hear from you. Thanks

I have a small team of three members with total experience of more than 15 man yrs in implementing system on chip and on board. We have worked on systems like mobile baseband, temperature compnesated osscilators for DDR, USB etc, household and industrial auomation, Robots controlled by PC via USB , wireless switches etc. After looking at the description document of project, I think us as perfect fit for your requirement except the mechanical part of it. (We dont do CAD for mechanical part, but I would still like you to go through the high level plan which we have for electroncics before taking decision). Microcontroller : An Ultra Low Power Microcontroller from ATINY series like ATtiny2313A which can be operated at low volatges with very low sleep currents. Gyro+ Accelerometer: We can use something like MPU6050 which has I2C interface to communicate to controller. RF Communication : I would prefer using RFM73 2.4GHz FSK/GFSK based transreciever owing to its low cost & low sleep current. It has a SPI interface to talking to outside world. USB HID Device: We can use MCP2210 kind of chip. Before giving the cost estimates, I have a few questions which I would like to clarify. a. Are there 12 switches or 13. Both numbers are mentioned in the document. b. What is there in the second attached document as I can see many inerfaces like RAM, SD CARD etc there, which I cannot correlate with this project. My bid includes all design for both hardware and firmware plus ONE production quality functional prototype in assembled and tested PCB form (no encasing). More prototypes can be had at extra cost. From what I understand, because of your special requirements, it seems that your project cannot benefit from a generic existing plastic case. To have a custom-made plastic case is not cheap as the molding production costs alone are higher than my bid. So, plastic box is NOT included in this bid. We can discuss about it separately. We have an experience of using TI CC2530 and CC2531 in RF4CE system. We also have contacts of factory in China that produce plastic parts for our remote controls (but it can be longer that 28 days). Due to the lack of product description (you gave attachements not for this product), development price and terms can be greater than expected. And that is why we can not calculate approximate cost of plastics and samples.
