RS485 GSM Data Project

I have a need to create a device based on the Atmel ATMega128 MCU. It will need to have a RS485 data port on it, to send and receive messages to the devices sitting on the RS485 network. I can provide data sheet on the devices on the RS485 network and the messages that need to be sent. (This is only 3 different messages). The MCU will need to work fully stand alone, it will need to be programmed via a windows application via a USB or RS232 port, this will be used to setup what devices are to be scanned (each RS485 device had a programmable ID) on the network. Think of this as just an engineer’s tool for setup only, once unplugged the MCU must carry on with the task. The device will have an LCD display, to provide information to the user from the devices being scanned on the RS485 network. This might be a Graphical LCD or a standard character LCD. Also the device will need to have a GSM/GPRS modem module that will be used to send data back to an application on a central server. This central application will then send an email to a specified user based on where the error has come from. ## Deliverables 1) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Employer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No 3rd party components unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the employer on the site per the worker's Worker Legal Agreement). ## Platform C for the MCU VB or C++ for the windows apps.
