In 02/2021, a freak Arctic storm in Texas, caused a kitchen pipe to burst in my home. My home flooded up to 8 inches and ruined most of the interior and exterior of my 704 square foot pier and beam home. Texas Farm Bureau Insurance will not pay to have our home foundation leveled. Our home now has a 2-inch interior slope. The cost to repair the foundation is $5,600.00. No other repairs on the home can take place until the foundation is fixed. We have been living with a non-functional kitchen since the storm. We have no running water in the kitchen. The installation of lower kitchen cabinets, countertops, kitchen sink, and vinyl flooring throughout the house is pending until the foundation can be fixed. My husband is 66 years old and is on Social Security. I am a 58-year-old disabled RN and I receive social security disability. We choose between medical treatment, shelter, and food on a routine basis.
