Hey,
I've been toying with an idea for years that the album Doolittle by the Pixies I could be the story of a long term relationship. Think "Revolutionary Road," but with 90s punk.
You start out with "Debaser," a young, naive nerd who loves B horror films is going on a date with a girl out of their league. Somehow, they end up scoring with her because she's head over heals within "Here Comes Your Man," that could be the wedding scene.
They go through life, but what first attracts them to one another fades. Maybe the passion for nerd stuff doesn't translate into rral life and the girl is shouldered with burdens she didn't expect. I'd have to develop that, but basically it it gets to "Chained," an intense realization that no matter how much you want to get away from this person, you can't survive without them, maybe out of some deep, undying love or fear of losing their hard earned comfort zone. Miserable together is better than miserable apart.
Anyway, that's my rough idea.
Thanks!
Julie
