I have a number of date related sales & archive files (see attached). The sales file and the archive files both have the same datbase structure. Once a month, the data from [login to view URL] gets "archived" to an archive file which has the name in the format [login to view URL], eg sales from July 2013 will archived to [login to view URL], August 2013 to 001_2013_08.dbf.
[login to view URL] lives in directory c:/touch/
Archive files live in directory c:/touch/archive
The project I need is to select records from relevant files based on dates, and to combine into a single file from which I can run a report developed in Crystal. This temporary file would need to be cleared at the start of each project before selection process, i.e. I just want the records for this selection in the file. The new file will be called [login to view URL] and will live in the c:/touch/ directory, and have the exact same structure as [login to view URL]
Selection process would be as follows:
Enter start date: (dd/mm/yyyy)
Enter end date (dd/mm/yyyy)
Based on this selection process you would check archive files and [login to view URL] and write relevant records to GLsales.dbf. For example:
Start date: 14/06/2013
End date: 11/08/2013
You would need to select files [login to view URL], [login to view URL], [login to view URL] and [login to view URL] and combine records that fit selection criteria into file [login to view URL]
