Hello. I already made similar project (beehive scales for fully authonomous working for a months and daily GPRS and SMS-reports. It works since June and until now it works good. Estimated working time for D-type batteries is about 7-8 months. 2 years for unattended D-battery is very hard task. Definitely you will need to use Arduino Mini, not "uno". One year is real, but it depends of required regularity of GSM communication (this is the biggest consumer of power). Also if your device will works outdoor in cold condition - the capacity of battery will be decreased. I can send you full documentation (schema, code, BOM, PCB-files), demostrate working device on video and also provide help in assembling. Also. if you want, i can make and send for you a complete device, in that case the delivery and component cost will be added to the price of project. I can start after 15 september (have to finish current large project). If you have any questions - feel free to contact me in chatbox With best regards Maxim Bulkowsky

Hi, I'm an electronics engineer with 15+ years experience, mainly in embedded hardware/firmware development. What I propose is to use an arduino uno with a SIM900 GSM/3G shield operating in DATA connection mode, posting the required data periodically to some internet site. Regarding battery operation for periods between 1 and 2 years, this might me though, but that depends on the number of batteries in parallel, for example... And with careful firmware implementation, probably that can be achieved - like connecting the "buttons" to AVR interrupt pins and keeping the CPU in sleep mode until a button is pressed and/or an RTC event occurs to send data through the GPRS connection... Please note that this bid is only for arduino firmware development and will only be deliverable firmware source code along with instructions of what connects to what in the arduino (no schematics CAD nor PCB development and files). If you are interested in my bid, please let me know more details on the project and feel free to contact me for any additional info. Best regards, Carlos.

Hello, Have a great day. We will deliver you fully working Prototype based on Atmega328 and GSM module. The stored data will be sent to a remote location via http post. for more details please feel free to contact. Best Regards, Shahbaz. Please note the circuit will consume very nominal current and will stand for 2 years on single fully charged battery.

Hi, We are a team of engineers with more than 10 years of experience in designing and developing various digital and embedded systems... Currently, apart from our R&D, we help engineering students to complete their academic projects. Also conduct seminars and workshops on Microcontrollers and Robotics... So we have experienced with a lot of Microcontrollers such as PIC, AVR, ARM, Arduino etc. We are also experienced with a lot of sensors and sensor modules.... We are very proficient with PCB desingning tools such as EAGLE, KICAD etc... We have done a lot of projects with arduino, please check my completed projects and reviews given by other employers...:-) We really would like to know more about your project, kindly let me know if you are interested...:-) Thank You

I have command on Arduino and GSM shield SIM900 , i can help you ..... but i am not sure battery will last for 1-2 years, GPRS use too much power and also arduino isn't Pico power MCU ..... After complete details of your job we will use ATtiny which are low power or other low power MCUs .....

Hello! I have experience programming in C / C + + for almost 20 years. Devices based on Arduino, I'm doing more than 3 years. I have experience writing applications "client-server" for the Arduino, writing applications to interface Arduino and Android, integration of Arduino and Processing. I have experience making "smart house" on the Arduino (arduino, php, javascript, AJAX, JSON). More, I have experience in: - making hydroponics installations on Arduino - the control system with LED lights for plants light - equipment for the reality-show "Treasure Rom" - Access Control Systems for printing equipment with RFID - The control system for the aquarium. PH, heating, lighting. - Camera slider for timelapse I am ready to write a program for Arduino and provide a complete description of the device. But In fact, I need a more detailed description of the project.

Timothy Woolaver Electrical Engineering Consultant Thank you for your consideration of this proposal. This proposal is the design of a low power consumption Arduino PCB. I have just completed a design of a low power Arduino controller which runs on batteries with a target battery life of 3 years from 3 AA batteries. The design was originally done using and Arduino Mini. I designed a PCB with the Atmega328 to replace that prototype which is now being used in the product. This product also has a similar time keeping function with a user switch doing the time stamping. To get low power consumption from these processors, it is necessary to use the processors sleep mode. Even though the product that I mention runs a motor, fan, and LCD display, It turns out that the processor is the dominant user of power even in Sleep mode. A power budget model is needed to see what is possible There are also parts of some standard Arduino boards that just can not be used if this type of battery life is required. The FTDI interface IC and the voltage regulator draw too much power to be left on. I am an Electrical engineer with 25+ years of experience. I have designed and modified the designs of many products and PCBs during my career. Please view my profile to see if my qualifications may meet your needs. Thank you again for your consideration and feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you may have. Thank You Timothy Woolaver Electrical Engineering Consulta

Cordialmente, Brayan M.

I am passionate about embedded devices, and making them as reliable and efficient as possible. I have some open questions regarding the functionality and requirements, to better understand the project: - How the data should be sent over GPRS? As SMS or over Internet? - How often the data needs to be sent? This will determine the battery life. I roughly estimate that it cannot be done more often than once per day. - The input consists only of buttons (or also other sensors)? How Many? - Does it have to be a prototype, or a finished product? My proposal would be to first talk about the specific requirements for this project. After that I will buy the hardware parts, build the prototype and send it to you.

Sir/Ma'am, I can be of good help to you as I have already made a similar project which involved truck management system using RFID that stores the information to Google spreadsheets. The system is still being used by an organization in Agra, India. The system also uses regular batteries. I can also provide you a 3d printed casing for the device for a perfect product finish. My commitment is to deliver the very expected project, in details. In order to be sure that I will deliver what you realy expect, Sir, I have two first questions. At first I need to know what type of buttons ( if a numeric keypad or an alphanumeric keyboard , for example ). Other question is if the period time could be adjustable by software or hardware.

Hi, I'm Giacomo Spigler, a current PhD student in Computational Neuroscience at The University of Sheffield. I have 15 years of experience in a very broad range of software developments and electronic projects (mostly in robotics). I have a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, too. About the present bid, I have extensive experience in Arduino projects, from High-Altitude-Balloons payloads to wireless/radio communication, energy efficiency (in your case, you'd probably want a custom minimal ATMEGA328p setting running at 4Mhz clock, which minimizes power consumption and only requires 2x AA batteries) and development of sport devices (wireless fencing scoring systems). Could you please tell me more about your GRPS settings? Are you going to use a custom circuit or to use existing commercial solutions? Best regards, Giacomo Spigler
