COMM 303 Paper Guidelines
• Papers will be submitted on time. You have five weeks to prepare this paper,
hence the expectation that it will be turned in on time.
• Papers need to be a full five to seven pages in length.
• Papers need to incorporate three episodes of 30 Days not previously viewed in
class.
• Papers need to incorporate course concepts—this includes direct use of the
textbook in your paper.
• Papers will use the course concepts correctly.
• Papers will be like all academic papers and include a proper academic
introduction, body, and conclusion.
• Papers will not read like an average discussion question, in that it’s a
regurgitation of concepts that shows little to no academic reflection.
• Papers will properly cite information according to MLA.
• Papers will have a title.
• Papers will not have a separate title page but will include all of the proper title
page information included, according to MLA format.
• Papers will have page numbers in the proper place, according to MLA.
• Papers will be grammatically correct.
• Papers will use punctuation correctly.
• Papers will have properly spelled words.
• Papers will refer to cast members of 30 Days properly. Check [login to view URL] if you
are confused by cast members’ names.
• Papers will not be a waste of the student or professor’s time.
