Custom Calendar on VisualForce Page in Saleforce CRM

Hi. i have a need for adding a calendar inside Salesforce CRM views of custom objects. Summary: I have a custom object (Events) that contains that has a start date time and end date time. I need a custom view which displays these values in a calendar view for the purposes of assigning and planning resources. There are 2 start and 2 end date time values in Event object (Event Start, Event End, Effective Start and Effective End), one set in the project object. There are status fields as well. Requirements: 1. The status (Planned, Committed etc) of each event should determine which color the event is displayed as in the calendar (to help the user) 2. Selecting the Event from the Calendar should go into the Object Detail Page 3. User should be able to filter by status (eg. only display committed events in the calendar) and whether to show the effective dates along with the event start and end date. 4. There should also be a trigger or button to push the event information to a google calendar.
