i need a simple program that can run in a windows desktop and server enviroment to do the following:
1) create a list of files to be copied over, with option of selecting the entire drive.
2) copy over files and create a checksum or some other method of verifying that it copied correctly
(and windows isnt realiable enough.)
3) be able to create checksum for files without copying.
4) be able to verify files and even entire drives based upon checksums.
5) create log of activity and must be able to say which files are bad.
6) should be able to use volumn shadow copy "if availble" to copy files in use.
7) need to have a standalone verifying program so that i dont have to install any software to get it to work.
8) real plus +++ and i would pay more for it is to have a repair file/sector created for each file copied/on the harddrive so that if the file gets corrupt it should be able to repair the file.
needs to work under windows 2000, XP home & pro, 2000 & 2003 server. should also be able to work under windows 98.
this will primarly be used on NTFS drives over 200GB.
i will also most likely require updates/upgrades, which natrually will go to the winning bidder.

## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).

hi,
over the past few days i havnt been feeling well and managed to spend some time working on this project.
i turns out it was eaiser than i thought. i have a working prototype that can do everything except:
1) sector repair
2) Shadow copy.
i am still intrested in these 2 functions, if you guys will re-bid on these jobs and tell me how you would propose to do each. you can bid on one job and not the other.
for the shadow copy i would like a DLL or ActivX control or a class that i can call that would allow me to seemlessly access the shadow file from within my copy routin.
such as
now:
call copyFile(filename,...)
with shadowcopy
call copyfile(ShadowFile(filename),...)
so my routines dont need re-writing.
let me know if its possible
