display the time taken to load a web page

Hello

I would like to be able to accurately display in a VB app', the time it takes to load a web page.

I have some code done already and I think I just need to add the timer and time display code.

The code consists of simple form with a button which I can assign (via VB) a URL to be opened.

When the button is clicked the code opens the URL web page as normal in Internet Explorer (or whatever the default Browser is), but I want the fapp' to display the time it takes to fully display the page in Internet Explorer.

Example: When the button is clicked the app' shows the timer incrementing (counting in seconds or even better in fraction of seconds if possible) as the page loads and when it is fully loaded it displays 'Done!' along with the final time taken to load the page.

If I could also have a progress bar as well as the time display that would be nice.

I also need the time display and progress bar to sit on top of the web page that is being opened so that I can see the progress and time as the page opens.

I am using this code to open the web page:

Private Sub Command1_Click()

ShellExecute 0&, vbNullString, "[url removed, login to view]", vbNullString, vbNullString, SW_SHOWNORMAL

End Sub

Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks very much.

Best regards

Greg

Hello

I would like to thank everyone for their time and effort in supplying a Bid for my Bid Request.

However it appears that it is not possible in the bounds of this project to achieve what I ideally would like which is a timer to display the time taken to load a web page in the default Browser.

I am already able to achieve a timer with a built in Browse control but ideally I would have liked to do it with an external browser.

Never mind I will just have to let this one go for now and so I therefore I have no option but to cancel this Bid Request.

I am sorry to have troubled you and hope I did not cause any inconvenience.

Thanks very much once again.

Good luck with your other projects.

Best regards

Greg
