Network impairment emulators can help network designers to test their networks under various scenarios. They provide the ability to introduce different types of impairments including delay, jitter and packet loss. The goal of this project is to design and implement a software-based network impairment emulator. The emulator should run on a computer with at least two network interface cards, allowing configurable set of impairments to be applied to traffic passing from one interface to another.
