Character design in Flash

We are in need of a graphic designer who can create a small character. The character will be for a young target audience, cartoon-like in style but contemporary. This is a prototype project, so small in scale with an expected quick turnaround. Outline; The intention is to design a simple 2d character for use in children's applications. The character should be emotive, colourful and playful. This character has a positive persona, so should be expressively happy. The character should be non-human, have a head, single body element, two small feet with short legs if necessary, 2 arms. Ears are an optional design element. Face should have 2 large expressive eyes and a mouth. Eyebrows and extra features are optional. The project requires; • 3 x initial draft concept characters • One main cartoon-style character, simple shape, non-human • 3 x simple poses - o 1 x face on, arms down looking forward o 1 x face forward, arms up waving, looking happy o 1 x sideview, pose looking as if the character is peering around an object • 4 x expressions o 1 x very happy o 1 x grinning o 1 x surprised, mouth open in 'o' shape o 1 x curious expression • Design work completed in Flash, properly structured with separate clips for features, arms, legs, body etc. • Must be original work Example references; [login to view URL] [login to view URL] [login to view URL] [login to view URL] [login to view URL] [login to view URL] [login to view URL] Please note: reference images are the property of their respective owners and we do not hold the rights to these images. As a rough estimate, this project should take an experienced graphic designer 1-2 days maximum excluding communication time. The potential exists for more design work of this nature, including animation and scenery for the right candidate. Please apply with similar graphic design samples where possible.
