<Technology Description>
One of the causes of traffic congestion is the braking chain: the car in front uses its brakes, which in turn causes its own car to use its brakes, which in turn causes the car behind to use its brakes, and so on.
This technology relates to self-driving vehicles that control the vehicle's travel lane, distance between vehicles, etc. to reduce traffic congestion when traveling on roads where traffic congestion may occur.
More specifically, the system controls the vehicle to change lanes to the one with more vehicles among the multiple lanes ahead and to keep a longer distance from the vehicle ahead.
By increasing the distance between vehicles, braking chains are less likely to occur, thus reducing the likelihood of traffic congestion.
