Website must be dynamic for uploading editing or deleting product info easily. The developer is expected to make a webstore with 3 major categories. 1)Jewelry 2)Gemstone (colored stones) 3)Diamond
These categories are shown in menu bar at the top of slideshow on the template along with the static pages main categories 4) Design your own Jewelry 5)Knowledge base 6)About us 7)Contact us(using form and email).
The template is modified such that these 3 categories are shown under the slideshow like the template on [login to view URL]
Below these 3 category-thumbnails the random jewelry and colored stone thumbnails should be visible.
The jewelry will be sub-categorized in necklace, rings, nosepins, earrings etc. If a user clicks on details button the popup should appear and background gets faded out (the popup should not be another window that can be blocked by browsers but it should be visible inside the same window/tab)
The same applies to Gemstone/Colored stones section. Nothing is much complex, if you know magento.

It is not much complicated as it feels. The section/iframe that contains diamond selection and search criteria is supplied by 3rd party database link and can be fetched using a single line link that they supply to us. What you should do is just insert the ready-made code which is back-end programmed in ".net" into the diamond section iframe. The main part is you need to connect the cart to this diamond price that is shown. It generally appears as information only as on [login to view URL] Fetching diamond value is programming part.

Cart and Payment gateway integration-
The customer should be able to add desired products to cart without registering. But if he needs to checkout it should be 3 step procedure
1) Login first (if already registered and Register if not registered)
Check or Give customer details and shipping address, Check Terms & conditions and then proceed to pay
2) Payment gateway- Paypal, Moneybooker(skrill), Okpay, Neteller, Google Checkout, payoneer
3) Status-payment successful/failed

Users login should take them to their current purchase details and history. I should be able to display them shipping status. If any disputes then they can contact me through email.
I myself am an engineer and I know most of the stuff. Developer has nothing to invest for me except his time and talent. I prefer developer from Mumbai; so please mention your location. Lowest bidder and good portfolio are two major concerns to choose from the developers.
The diamond section also needs some programming in .net/php You can read the help about the 3rd party api which is to be merged having name "Inventory Link". Below is the link to the help section from 3rd party to program this part. You can choose from the different options. The only thing is that I should get inventory information to get downloaded to my website database and a few columns (including price column) should be visible to the buyer. There should be option of "add to cart" with the diamond info. Also database should be downloadable to me in excel format with all the columns. Also the php part should not reveal my password to anyone. This all the work has a little programming. Can you do that?
