wss3.0 Sharepoint customization

Note : Server details cannot be given to create list / pages / reports. Need installable files. The site themepack will be provided and has to build site creating pages, lists, reports. PROJECT REQUIREMENT : 1. Requirement details : Has to build a WSS3.0 site with same site structure as the testing site. The site themepack will be provided and has to build site with below requirements. For reference the testing site details included. 2. The Testing Site The testing site is [login to view URL] , built on WSS3.0. Before the new site of [login to view URL] is formally launched, all testing and design work will be done at [login to view URL] . The current structure of [login to view URL] basically reflects our idea. 3. Site Structure The function of the site is to publish various types of articles: briefing, report, and analysis on a daily basis. Every two months, various briefings, reports and analyses are put together into a magazine issue. The main structure of the site: 3.a) Homepage: [login to view URL] - Top menu: Home | Briefings | Reports | Analysis | Magazine | About - Left (research area): US-China Relations | Geo-Strategic Trend | Defense/Military | Government/Politics | Economy/Resources |Information/Technology |Social Stability |Grape Vines |<By Region> - Center: Full texts of three briefings updated everyday - Right: three boxes: Media on China | Latest Reports | Featured Analysis 3.b) List (Briefing, Report, and Analysis) Page: - These are the inner pages. - When clicking the “Briefing” on top menu, will show a list of briefings in full texts by publishing date. eg: [login to view URL] - When clicking the “Report” on top menu, will show a list of reports with summary by publishing date. eg: [login to view URL] - When clicking the “Analysis” on top menu, will show a list of analyses with summary by publishing date. eg: [login to view URL] 3.c) Article Page: - When clicking the link of title of the article, full text of the article (either Briefing, Report, or Analysis) will show, including title, body text, category, region, publishing date. 4. Specific design plan: The plan will heavily rely on the design of New York Times (NYT) website. We will use styles of certain segments of NYT site to specify how we want certain segments of the new China scope (CS) site look like.
