Thrusters Website Design

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THE VISION WE ARE CALLING ON YOU TO CREATE: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We are creating a website for a company that sells marine thrusters that go inside the hulls of large boats. They allow the vessells to be moved from side to side. Because it is a website, navigation menus must be balanced with the overall themes look and feel. This is the vision that has been sold to the client. There will be a ships bow facing the viewer and the bow will be to the left side of the page. The arch or curvature of the raised bow will contain the left side menus for the website. The water line will be where the heading starts. So the majority of the hull will be under the water line. This is typical of big vessels but graphically exagerated if for smaller ones. The reason the hull must have a lot of area under the water line is because that's where thrusters go. A thruster must be installed on this image. It does not have to be any particular brand, just a hole at the correct angle that is obviously a thruster. It is possible this thruster will be animated at some point in the future but that is only to bear it mind and not create that animation now. This will be a static page for you to create. The single biggest graphical element is to create this vessel bow on the left side of the page. It does not have to look photo realistic however it must be proportional. In other words the arch of the bow can be exagerated if you wish but the overall dimensions must be proportional. It is even possible that you could run the bow straight up to the top of the website in the form of an curved arch which would create a natural place to insert a logo. However, this is not required. Where the waterline is, we will be animating for our customer. The exact _y positioning of the waterline is flexible however it will resemble this behavior: [login to view URL] You will notice by that site that we enjoy curvature. It is pleasing to the eye. The color palette for this website must match the colors in the attached [login to view URL] file. These are the companies preferred colors. The primaries must be the light blue, gray and white and accented by teal. There is some flexibility but the light blue would be the most prominant and the white would be where the text interior of the website would mainly be. It could certainly be used for much accent elsewhere. It is not absolutely neccesary that the menu go on the left side bow but it is neccesary that a vertical bow half is. You could place the navigation menu at the top of the page. You could not put it on the water line as that will be animated. However it could go many other places on the heading depending on your thoughts. Estimate the number of menu items to be 7. You may simply use the text 'menu heading' wherever a menu heading will occur. DO NOT USE ANY OF THE ITEMS IN THE EXAMPLE GRAPHIC - They are only for scale and fair reference You may use your descretion regarding how the heading will look as contrasted with the bow. We are shooting for an look and feel that targets high end boat owners. Corporates or retired with money. So the design must speak of quality and be very finished in its detail. Enough room must be given to the 'main area' of the website as this is where variable content will be displayed. That's it.
