Hi there, I have a folder which contains multiple XML files. I need to develop a script to load these files into a SQL database. When the script is run it will load the most recent XML file into the SQL database, archive the XML file into a folder and repeat the process (loading the next XML file). Initially I was trying to build this package with SSIS and have had issues when processing multiple XMLs (as I couldn't define connection strings). I also have XML schema files. I want to avoid setting up a web service to process these XML files into the SQL database. I will install team viewer on my windows server which you can develop, test and complete the project. I can send examples of the XML schema and XML files.

1. Create connection string to the XML file path and to SQL Server database. 2. First we need check the XML files in the folder location. 3. If we have first we have get the latest file based on the Date. (if it is required process multiple files at a time, we can achieve with the help of For-Each loop ) 4. Process the latest XML file to SQL server DB. 5. Validate the xml data processed successfully in SQL Table. 6. Archive the XML file in the archive folder location. 7. Write log in the file or sql table location for tracking job. 8. Send e-mail notification to the users (If required).

As per my understanding the files contain tabular data,needs to read the file and after reading need to move the file into another folder,if this is your project just want to suggest that the folder from where you will be reading the xml files will be populated will large files say more than 2kb 400 files,then you will have performance issues,if your file size and number are same no issues.
